Ernest is an IP and business attorney representing innovation-driven startups and entrepreneurs. He works with clients to identify, protect and enforce intellectual property assets and to launch, grow and finance high-growth enterprise.

Ernest has deep experience in the software, life science and outdoor retail verticals and has worked with clients on business and IP needs in many areas, including: optical filters; cybersecurity; outdoor recreation and hunting products; electronics and camera accessories; medical diagnostic and therapeutic technologies; wellness services; digital marketing; food & beverage; clothing; and consulting (business, financial, engineering). Ernest is also an active supporter and champion of the Minnesota startup community.

He is a co-founder and member of Gopher Angels , Minnesota's largest angel investor group, and has served as a judge in various startup competitions, including Minnesota Cup, BizPitch (Univ. of MN – Carlson School) and the Fowler Business Concept Challenge (Univ. of St. Thomas). He is also a member of the Dean's Advisory Council in the College of Management at Metro State University (St. Paul)
